Fall is here and that means Family Fun Night at the Evansville United Methodist Church is starting!
This is a free family event held every third Friday of the month from October through May. It runs from 6-8pm and includes a kid friendly dinner. Children need to be accompanied by an adult and reservations are appreciated. You can RSVP by contacting the church office at (608) 882-4622 or Admin@EvansvilleUMC.org.
You don’t need to be a member of our church or any church to join us. We welcome everyone!
2018-2019 Family Fun Night Schedule:
October 19: Decorating pumpkins – How creative can you be?
Come with your creative juices running to create a unique design on a pumpkin. Paints, beads, fabric, markers, along with other decorating supplies will be available for you to use.
November 16: Family Nativity Pictures and More
We’re joining the Evansville Chamber of Commerce’s Old Fashioned Christmas event. Families can have their picture taken in a nativity setting. Costumes of angels, wise men, shepherds, and all types of animals such as lambs, donkeys, sheep, cows, and many more are available for family members to wear. Besides getting a family picture taken children can decorate Christmas cookies, make a coupon gift book and Christmas ornaments!
December 21: Be in the Christmas Story
Families will use drama, music and art to tell the story of Jesus’s birth. Everyone will have a chance to dress up as someone who was at the manager in Bethlehem. Children can be sheep, cows, chickens, (many other animals too) wise man, shepherds, angels, Mary or Joseph. Families will also make Christmas gifts to take home. It will be a fun night with lots of laughs!
January 18: Hearts, Love & Kindness
Using hearts families will create gifts they can share with others to promote the ideas of random acts of kindness and pay it forward.
February 15: Games, Games, and More Games
Families will make a game they can take home and play. Games will be available to play along with lots of puzzles. Families are encouraged to bring their favorite game to share with other families.
March 15: Plant, Grow, and Bloom
Families will plant seeds and flowers so they can see them grow and bloom in the spring.
Family Fun Night will have a booth at the annual Aware Family Night. We will have face painting and an easy craft for the kids to make.
May 17: Picnic in the Park
An evening full of fun starting with an outdoor picnic dinner at Leota Park followed with relay games. Games such as balloon toss, racing games, and other relays will be lots of fun for all family members.
