In light of concerns for the well-being of all due to COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision of cancelling in-person worship and mid-week services starting starting March 15 until the current risk to public health subsides, based upon the recommendation of the Rock County Public Health Department.
Our guiding principle is doing all we can to ensure the well-being of those most susceptible to health risks. We also have been advised that if someone were found to have the covid-19 virus after the fact, everyone in attendance would be mandated to quarantine.
We will be sharing more information beginning early next week (via e-mail, Facebook, text, and phone calls) about how we will care for each other as a faith community during this challenging time.
Also next week we’ll announce how we’ll be offering opportunities online, and letting you know how to connect. We will not stop being the church. We’ll just find new ways!
In the meantime, keep praying the breakthrough prayer (every time you wash your hands!), that we might pray and care for one another!
“Holy and Generous God, we ask You to break through anew with hopes, dreams and possibilities beyond what we could ever imagine at Evansville UMC and in our lives.
Glory to God, who is able to do far beyond all that we ask or imagine, by his power at work within us.
